Bemz covers for discontinued IKEA Fagelbo sofa beds, IKEA Fagelbo sleeper sofas or IKEA Fagelbo convertible sofas
If you own an IKEA Fagelbo sofa bed that’s still in good shape but the original IKEA Fagelbo sofa cover has seen better days, then a Bemz slipcover can restore it to its former glory. Bemz makes cloth/loose Fagelbo sofa covers for the IKEA Fagelbo sleeper sofa, launched at IKEA in 2004 and discontinued in 2008. Bemz sofa covers are available in hundreds of colours and patterns, made in a variety of fabric qualities from 100% cotton to pure linen to velvet sofa covers and more. Bemz fabrics are made with a focus on 100% natural materials, and our fabric slipcovers are all machine washable and come with a three year guarantee. The IKEA Fagelbo sleeper sofa does not have a removable slipcover. Bemz covers for the Fagelbo fit easily over the sleeper sofa’s existing, non-removable IKEA Fagelbo sofa bed cover, with a loose slipcover that touches the floor and hides the break between the seat cushions and bed/storage unit - giving it a softer, more seamless style than the original IKEA Fagelbo sofa bed. What’s more, a Bemz sofa cover will slip easily over the IKEA Fagelbo sleeper sofa while allowing full access to the bed and storage unit, thanks to velcro attachments in a few discrete locations. Bemz covers for IKEA Fagelbo sleeper sofas are available for either Fagelbo sofa bed covers with left hand storage or Fagelbo sofa bed covers with right hand storage.
Mini review and guide to the IKEA Fagelbo sofa bed/sleeper sofa
The IKEA Fagelbo sofa bed/convertible sofa won’t win any prizes for glamour but it definitely wins points for functionality and versatility. As far as a usability review goes, this rectangular, L-shaped sofa bed easily fits 5 as a sofa (three seats on one side of the L and two seats on the other side). It comfortably fits 2 as a bed, which can be pulled out from under the 3 seat section. Arguably its best feature is a hidden storage unit located under the 2 seat section - a handy spot for tucking away a set of sheets to instantly transform the sofa into a bed when a spontaneous sleepover breaks out. One important note in this review - the IKEA Fagelbo convertible sofa was the predecessor to the IKEA Manstad, which was the predecessor to the IKEA Friheten. Think of them as siblings because they definitely come from the same gene pool. Even though they look an awful lot alike, their dimensions are different, as are some of the details (like armrests and number of cushions) so please don’t make the mistake of thinking that the covers are interchangeable (they’re not!).
