General information

This Bemz cover fits the IKEA Söderhamn 3 seater sofa with armrests, which has been sold since 2012. When purchasing Megamalist Fit, you receive two covers in one.

The frame cover is delivered without pre-made holes for assembly. To reattach the armrests, small cuts need to be made in the sides of the frame cover at the connection points to match the bolts.

Megamalist Fit is available for the IKEA Söderhamn series in five selected models: 3 seater with armrests, 3 seater without armrests, 1 seater without armrests, armchair and footstool.

About the design

Megamalist Fit is a quilted and padded cover that functions as a removable layer. When purchasing Megamalist Fit, you receive two covers in one: in place, the quilted texture gives a maximalist expression, and when removed, a minimalist expression with clean lines emerges.

The base cover is Minimalist Fit with exposed legs, a minimalist design with straight lines, large fabric panels and fewer seams, attached to the furniture's base frame to show the furniture's legs.

Assembly instructions

• Disassemble the armrests and backrest from the sofa frame and remove the existing covers.
• Before fitting the frame cover, secure the seat cushions with the included fibre fleece part to prevent the cushions from shifting under the cover and for the best fit.
• Fit the frame cover and attach it to the frame base and to the Velcro strips on the fibre fleece part.
• The frame cover is delivered without pre-made holes for assembly, so cut small slits in the sides of the frame cover at the connection points to accommodate the bolts.
• Take the quilted throw and attach it to the Velcro strips on the frame cover on the short sides and on the long back side.
• Fit the covers on the disassembled armrests and reattach them to the frame through the slits just made.
• Fit the backrest cover and reattach the backrest to the frame.
• Take the quilted throw for the backrest and place it over the backrest so that it hangs down to the lower edge.
• Do the same with the armrest parts of the quilted throw and place them over the armrests so that they reach the lower edge of the frame.
• Take the fibre fleece parts on the quilted throws and attach them to the respective Velcro strips.
