Curtain Hooks Guide
All Bemz curtains have a dual function header at the top that lets you hang your curtains two ways
1. Using our specialised two-finger hooks that attach to a track rail or to suspend the curtains from rings.
2. From a rod passed through the header “tunnel”.
This guide explains function 1.
The Crease-band.
On the back of the header you find the transparent crease-band with small “pockets” spread out at even distances where the hook’s “fingers” attach (the fingers are the long mounting guides either side of the hook). You might have to angle the crease-band to the light to clearly see where they slide in. This gives a professional and discreet finish and makes hanging very easy.
Selecting the hook
Don’t worry, there’s only two to choose from and are simply our recommendation for the best results. We have low hooks and high hooks. Both are 5.3cm high. The difference is the height of the actual hook compared to the hook’s 2 fingers.
Track rail hanging
We recommend low hooks for track rail hanging.
Slide each of the hook’s two fingers through every pocket on the crease-band. This equates to 16 hooks per single width curtain (32 hooks per double width). These hooks will discreetly hide any trace of the rail behind the header. We base our recommendations on a standard track rail height of 2.5cm. So, if you have a track rail of a different height, you may need to take that into consideration.
Ring and Rod Hanging
We recommend high hooks for ring and rod hanging. Slide each of the hook’s two fingers through every second pocket. And for each new hook you attach, hop over one pocket and leave it untouched. High hooks attached in this way give a more pronounced, heavier crease and the top of the curtain header will sit neatly under the rod. You can also use every pocket for a less heavy crease.
