    De Montfort University, Leicester

    The School of Textiles at De Montfort University was officially founded in 1885. Since then the university has retained a strong Textile Design programme, now sitting within DMU's School of Design, which is complemented by Fashion Textiles and Accessories BA (Hons), one of the newest programmes in the school. We work closely with industry to maintain subject relevance and ensure that our graduates are highly sought after and we have regular visits and talks from respected industry professionals. Today's fashion and textile provision at DMU continues the tradition on which it was founded and produces graduates who have become experts within a variety of challenging disciplines.

    The Cass Faculty, London Metropolitan University
    Internationally recognised for its high quality teaching, excellent facilities and unique interdisciplinary opportunities, the Cass supports learning through practice, playing with process and working with clients to gain real world experience.
    The BA Honours Textile Design course at The Cass encourages students to explore the field with individual creativity through visual research, design and textile making.

    Nottingham Trent University, Notthingham
    Established in 1843, the School of Art & Design at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is one of the UK’s most well established and renowned creative universities.
    Our award-winning BA (Hons) Textile Design course offers students the unique opportunity to explore and develop skills in the creative areas of printing, embroidery, weaving and knitting. Supported by expert academic and technical staff, students learn hand-crafted and digital techniques in our extensive textile design facilities, and gain real-life experience through live projects, guest lecturers, work placements and competitions. NTU’s graduates are much sought after by industry, which is reflected in the School’s impressive 92% graduate employment rate (DLHE survey 2013-14).

    The Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow
    The Department of Fashion and Textiles at the Glasgow School of Art has an international community of around 150 students at both undergraduate and post graduate levels.
    Fashion and Textile Design students work side by side in the department. This provides them with a valuable perspective of the Fashion and Textile Design related fields where they come to recognise the interactive relationships between the two.
    The programme aims to create highly specialised subject experts in an ‘expert amongst experts’ environment which values the interactive, synergetic and ever evolving nature of Fashion and Textile Design.

    The School of Textiles & Design is one of eight academic schools and institutes at Heriot-Watt University. Our Scottish Borders Campus is set in beautiful countryside, at the heart of the world-renowned Scottish textile industry, an hour from Edinburgh.
